| With the proceeds from the Dial for Dollars races, the poker hand test-n-tune and the just plain old racer support, we were able to raise over $2500 for the Alliance for Women and Children and Breast Cancer Awareness. Thank you all for your help. |
| A special THANK YOU to our Shootout Sponsors - a successful weekend of racing would not be possible without these folks stepping in to support the race. |

| Mule Spectator Race |
| The Mule Race was won by Ray Allen of Abilene. Runner Up was Bubba Reutter of Clyde. |
| Our Roy Blackstock was kind enough to give one of our volunteers from The Alliance a ride down the race track. When they got back to the pits, Sharra Simpson stated "that was better than anything at Six Flags!" I think we made another drag racing fan! |
PUMPKIN CARVING RESULTS
| Pumpkin carving contest - The quality of the pumpkins brought in made it very difficult for the judges to pick the top three - all the entries were very original and very well done. First Place went to the "evil braided Cowboy pumpkin" by Patty Bracey (top). Capturing second place was the black flamed entry by Sonja Smith. Semi-final honors went to the Green Witch pumpkin brought in by Shayla McCoy. |

SATURDAY ELIMINATIONS
| AJ Enterprises Top ET - Jared Winger |
A. J. Enterprizes Top ET: Jared Winger of San Angelo laid claim to the Saturday Top ET Ironman when Abilene's Ty Casey went -.006 red in the final round. Jared was ready for the lap and went .005 on the tree and posted a dead on 4.727 on a 4.72 dial. Ty went 6.219 on a 6.21 dial. If not for that red light, it would have been a race right down to the wire. Don't cry for Ty just yet - keep reading and you'll see he came within .006 of a possible double up. |
| Pinnacle Countertop Solution Modified ET - Sambo Tyra |
Pinnacle Countertop Solutions Modified ET: Sambo Tyra of Abilene scored his second Ironman with a win over San Angelo's Jory Wiemers in the Modified final. Sambo had a good .033 light and clocked 6.77 on a 6.75 dial to take the win. Jory ran dead on witha 6.806 on a 6.80 dial but his .088 light gave Sambo way too much room at the finish line. |
| Longmire Plumbing Jr Dragster - Dillon McCoy |
Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster: The Jr Dragster final was another "dead on just isn't good enough" final round. Dillon McCoy from Tuscola claimed his first Ironman trophy with a great .014 light and a close 9.08 on a 9.07 dial. Whitley Bettis of DeLeon ran dead on her dial with a 7.957 on a 7.95. Good deal - except her .107 light put her well behind Dillon at the finish line |
| Whitten Inn Street Money - Dean Kennedy |
| Whitten Inn Street Money: It was track operator vs track owner/operator in the Street Money final. Something about the hat and goggles and racing at night with heavy sun shields apparently gave winnner Dean Kennedy (right) of Early a useful advantage. Dean took out Kennedale's Jeff Hefler on the last lap and used a .039 light with a 10.74 on a 10.72 dial to get it done. Jeff fell off to a 11.62 on an 11.53 dial with a .079 reaction time. Jeff would come back Sunday for his revenge. |
| Max's Motorcycle - Donnie Oliver |
| Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle: Donnie Oliver of Hawley won the Motorcycle track championship last week and this week he wins again and takes home an Ironman to go with the championship. Donnie went up against James Motley of Bangs in the final. Donnie was off to a rickity start with a .146 reaction time, but stayed inside his dial to take the win at 6.34 on a 6.25. James had a better .015 light but ran too fast, breaking out with a 7.48 on a 7.52 dial. |
OEM STREET CLASS
| OEM Street: This a new class that is being promoted by it's members and you can learn more about it at http://oemstreet.com. This is a heads up .500 Pro Tree format race and this was their first running of the class. There were only 4 enties that made the call today, but several more cars are under construction at the current time. In the OEM final round, Jimmy Patton ran 6.06 at 114 MPH to defeat Walter Morrow, with Walter running a 6.46 at 108.75 MPH. Walter got the better light but Jimmy was able to drive around him at the stripe. |
SUNDAY ELIMINATIONS
| Sunday Dial for Dollars: Kenny Heaton ran 7.8812 on a 7.88 dial to split the pot with Abilene Breast Cancer Awareness. Kenny's cut was $560. Not a bad haul for one round! |
| AJ Enterprises Top ET - Cory Beatty |
| A. J. Enterprizes Top ET: Cory Beatty of Lemesa hit a great .018 light and clocked a dead on 4.859 on a 4.85 dial to take the win and the Ironman. After tearing up the Top field all day, Billy Williams of Merkel had to settle for runner up. Billy went .027 on the tree and ran a break out 5.120 on a 5.14 dial. |
| Pinnacle Countertop Solution Modified ET - Ty Casey |
Pinnacle Countertop Solutions Modified ET: Ty Casey of Abilene didn't let his runner up finish in Top on Saturday bug him too much. He came back and marched through the Modified field to win the Ironman on Sunday. James Huggins of Abilene took the runner up spot. Ty had the light and the advantage, going .055 on the tree and running a 6.29 on a 6.23 dial. James ran closer with a 6.94 on a 6.92 but his .116 light did him in. |
| Longmire Plumbing Jr Dragster - Dunstin Douglas |
| Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster: Dustin Douglas grabs another Ironman for his collection in the Jr Dragster final round when his opponent Codi Bettis of DeLeon went red on the start. |
| Whitten Inn Street Money - Jeff Hefler |
| Whitten Inn Street Money: An unfortunate mistake with the dial ins in the Street Money final ended the race on the starting line and gave the Ironman win to Jeff Hefler of Kennedale. Robert Hector of Abilene was our Sunday runner up in Street Money. |
| Max's Motorcycle - Mark Belitz |
| Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle: Abilenes' Mark Belitz wins the Ironman with an excellent .013 light and a 7.18 pass against a 6.84 dial. Runner up Bruce Sigbert of Abilene just killed the tree with a .004 reaction time but had trouble with the bike and ended up with a 10.09 on an 6.28 dial. |
