Why is Luke Bogacki (white shirt, right
side of check) smiling? Because he probably made more money today
racing than working. Luke, from Woodville, Alabama, was a busy
man today. In CSR Super Pro, Luke had to run himself in the
final. You do that by buying two run cards, then keeping them
all day. OK, so there's $6000 won in just by staging the car.
Now throw in the runner up spot in the Moser Super Pro Shootout and
that was worth another $1000. By the way, did we mention that
Luke runnered up in DRR Sportsman along with all that? So
that's just two people that got in Luke's way all day Saturday, and
we'll mention them next. In the 2007 Race Tech Championship
Points Standings, Luke is #1 in both Super Pro and Sportsman. |

A runner up finish in Sportsman at the
2006 Lone Star Nationals left Merkel's Debbie Kelly (middle of
check) with a desire to take it one more step. She got there, being the first of only two people
today to send points
leader Luke Bogacki back to the trailer with a runner up time slip.
In the DRR Sportsman final, Debbie went .037 on the tree and ran
7.860 on a 7.83 dial for the win. Luke had a bit better .026
light and ran 6.545 on a 6.50 to runner up. Debbie won the
finish by .0039. Debbie would like to thank Samford Racing
Engines for their support in 2007. |

Steve Collier of Benton Louisana was
ready for Luke Bogacki in the Moser Super Pro Shootout final.
.004 on the tree and a 4.967 on a 4.98 dial says he was cocked
and ready. Luke was too, but gave it up on the starting
line with -.005 red light. |

In Race Tech Jr.
Dragster, Dustin Douglas of Abilene took home the winner's
check, defeating Koy Collier of Benton, Louisiana in the final.
Dustin got the better end of a double breakout race, hitting
8.963 under an 8.98 dial with a great .014 light for the win.
Koy went .054 on the tree and ran farther under with a 10.824 on
a 10.85 dial. |

Tommy Wade of
Abilene picks up his second DRR Trophy win in the DRR 2007
racing series. Tommy took the win when his opponent (we
can't seem to locate the run card for the other driver) went
-.27 red on the tree. |
