| This was our second try at a big Memorial Day race - last year, it was a hurricane, this year the 50% more payout brought 50% more rain and 50% more track drying. We dried the track twice on Saturday only to be shut down into the 3rd round. After two more drys on Sunday we got the double points race done. We almost got to the second race on Sunday - We even got the time trials run and the sun came out. But the sun just made the clouds mad and they replied with a 1 1/2" water dump right about 4pm. The regular points race for Sunday will be rescheduled - save your run cards as they will get you in the gate and back into your eliminator. The run cards are good for any points race, just give us a call if you have any questions. |

| In spite of the waterworks we managed to give away the two sets of M/T tires to two luck winners. Jerry Kershaw (left) won the Saturday set and Tony Poor scored the Sunday set. |
| We looked forward to seeing the Outlaw Top Gas Motorcycles run - the weather shut that down, but they will be back and we're looking forward to an exciting race in the near future. |

| Jimmy Dickey and Monte Weaver stopped by for a little match racing on Saturday. Monte got by Jimmy a little bit, but Jimmy got the "long run" award - seems Jimmy had a bit of a chute problem and parked it in the sand trap. No damage to Jimmy or the car. |

Billy Williams of Merkel was our runner up in the class. Billy got off to a great start with a better light of .017 to Amber's .022. | Pinnacle Countertop Solutions Modified ET: Tommy Wade and Robert Schoemer (both from Abilene) faced off in the Modified final. Robert's fresh "stealth" paint job, applied by point's leader Sambo Tyra in some paint booth called "the Pits" failed to sneak the car past Tommy. Tommy took the win with a 7.74 on a 7.72 dial with a .067 reaction time. Robert broke out, clocking 8.828 on an 8.83 dial with a .078 reaction time. |
| Longmire Plumbing Jr. Dragster: Dustin Douglas of Abilene took the win in Jr over Kimie Lakey of Sylvester. The dials had this one set up as a heads up race, with both cars dialed in at 7.95. Kimie went -.059 red on the start with Dustin going .023 green and that was it. This race was going to be won on the starting line anyway - check out how close these cars ran against each other. Dustin's dragster ran 7.9184 and Kimie's clocked 7.9148. |

| Rhino Linings of Abilene All Class Quick: Kevin Bracey celebrated another win in All Class Quick, taking out Michael Johnston in the final round. This was a close race at the tree and at the stripe. It was also the quickest paired final of the race. Kevin hit a .030 reation time and ran 4.880 on a 4.87 dial for the win. Michael had a softer .051 light and ran a hair farther off his 4.93 dial, showing a score of 4.941 at the top end. |
| TSTC West Texas Pro Footbrake: In the Pro Footbrake final, Freddie Hillin's Flyin' Mustang flew a bit too fast, giving the win to stealth painter Sambo Tyra on the last lap. Freddy had a much better .052 light to Sambo's sleepy .124, but at the finish line it was Freddy too fast with a 6.725 break out on a 6.73 dial to Sambo's 6.954 over a 6.94 dial. |
| Whitten Inn Street Money: Colter Asbill of Abilene took the win in Street money with a 10.77 on a 10.70 dial and a .109 reaction time. Robert Hector of Abilene gave it up on the starting line, handing Colter a win when Robert went -.017 on the start. |
| Max's Kawasaki Motorcycle: Harry Goebel of Hamlin put the spank on John Choat of Tuscola with a .004 light and a bit off 7.382 against his 7.31 dial. John had a decent .047 light and ran closer to the dial with a 6.259 on a 6.23. John almost got him right at the end as Harry just squeaked it out at the stripe. The margin of victory shows as a very bitty .0002 |
