Casey Longmire of Abilene accepts the
$5000 winner's check from Danny Sons of DRR for his win in CSR Super
Pro. Casey defeated Clyde's Joe Collier in the final with a
5.147 on a 5.13 dial and a .017 light. Joe put a .006 light on
Casey, but the dragster slowed to a 5.07 on a 5.40 dial and Casey
got to the stripe first. Not bad for a day in a rental -
Casey's ride is borrowed from Jake Buford. The rent may have
gone up a bit. |

San Angelo collect the $1000 top prize for the win in DRR Sportsman.
Bill ran a "dead on with a zero" 7.050 on a 7.05 dial for the win.
Sambo Tyra of Abilene had the better light but a 7.33 under a 7.37
parked Sambo in the runner up spot. |

Jory Wiemers of San Angelo took home the
monster trophy in the DRR Trophy class. Jory ran a dead
on 7.964 on a 7.96 for the win over Bill Simpkins. Simpkins
ran a breakout 7.00 on a 7.05 dial. Simpkins apparently went
to the trailer and had a long talk with the car - see Sportsman
above. |
